Accommodations
Participants will need to secure housing in local Airbnb’s or hotels. Egremont, Lenox, Lee, and Stockbridge are all close driving distance to Great Barrington, and offer Airbnb and hotel/inn options. Plan your accommodations as soon as your student is accepted into the program; the Berkshires are a popular destination in the summertime!
**Note: Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Travel
You will need a car in the Berkshires unless carpooling arrangements are made in advance; there is very little public transportation available.
If you are not driving directly, you might rent a car at either the Albany International Airport (60-minute drive), Hartford’s Bradley International Airport (90-minute drive), or Boston’s Logan International Airport (2-hr drive).
Travel by bus is available via Greyhound and Peter Pan bus lines from New York or Boston to Lee, MA. If you travel by train, there is an Amtrak station in Pittsfield with irregular service. The next closest Amtrak station is Hudson, NY, about an hour from Pittsfield.
